It's all unprecedented, how they handle it, how the playoffs go, and what happens with the NCAA afterwards around coaching contracts is going to all be groundbreaking. LSU has tipped over the apple cart in 2 of its last coaching searches, thrown decorum to the floor and trampled the rules. To the point that NCAA might impose anti-tampering rules by 2027, its a huge deal.
Ole Miss is going to determine what happens next. I think they are paralyzed with fear of making the wrong decision.
He wants to finish the season at Ole Miss to the best of his ability. In my opinion they should let him do that.

If Ole Miss knows his intentions the he will not coach egg bowl and they need to part ways during the bye week. Would give you extra time to get refocused for the rivalry game.

This is all BS. Ole Miss isn't paralyzed with anything, b/c he won't be allowed back in the building the second he tells OM he isn't coming back. He certainly won't be continuing to coach them. 
I fully believe Lane probably doesn't know what he wants to do. I'm sure he wants to see if he can win in the playoffs this year, but LSU/UF will move on before then. But if Lane doesn't jump now, he's probably stuck in Oxford for another 5 years.
These fake "insiders" don't know shite. You've already outed yourself in that you didn't have numbers but that you also do have numbers.
