Why would he want to go to a school who plays alabama & the SEC West every year,possibly Texas or okla. soon? Whereas who does he have to beat at N.D.?

What limitations are these? A guaranteed spot in the playoffs every year as long as they don't lose more than 1 game? A national recruiting base? Their own exclusive deal with NBC for all home games and guaranteed national broadcasts for the others with ABC/Fox/etc?
It says more that he hasn't won with all at his disposal than the other way around.

And zero local recruiting base. It's hard to have to rely exclusively on national recruits, especially ones who can qualify for admission.
Notre Dame is a good job, but it's no longer an elite job. There's a reason they haven't won a championship in over 30 years.

If Notre Dame could recruit LSU / SEC talent on their defensive line, they'd win national championships consistently.
Brian Kelly would win a NC within the first 3 years of arriving.
