It has to be Nielson for LSU DC right?

That’s the only logical explanation why a DC hasn’t been hired yet. Hopefully, Coach O has reached out to him and a verbal agreement has been reached. I guess the official announcement won’t be until after the Saints win the Super Bowl.

Neilsen is the frontrunner. Looking at 3 pro coaches...neilsen, Bary, and an assistant on ravens staff

Well I mean that's up to the coaches really. He may not want a distraction while the saints are in the playoffs. Also could be they have agreed to something verbally but Nielsen also wants to see if a NFL DC job comes in. If that's the case I hope O doesn't make this a kiffin situation and actually has a backup plan.

Maybe O is treating it like how the NFL treats it. Don’t announce a move until their respective employer is out the playoffs. That’s why Terry Fontenot hasn’t been announced GM of Falcons or Dan Campbell head coach of Lions.

Its actually against NFL rules for a coach to interview somewhere else if their team is still in the playoffs except if its for HC position

Going to be funny when he tells O thanks but no thanks he has NFL positions with him on a short list for DC or HC jobs over there. Then most of the good DCs are signed in college by then.
I don't think we'll have to wait long though. Saints staying home Sunday after the Bucs game. Brees retires with 3 straight losses in the playoffs at home. RIP

Why do people just dismiss a coaching canidate and not give any productive criticism of said person .
What do you know about Barry that disqualifies him from
being a good choice. I`m sure you must be in the college
football industry to have such an opinion.

and enjoy LSU football and let thing play out as they
will and I promise you this coach is building a program and
not a team.This ain`t a fast food fix.

A shite ton? What disqualifies the guy that last time he was a DC he had back to back 28th ranked NFL defenses and got fired? When he was the Lions DC before that they were the worst defense in the league and went winless as well. He's a terrible defensive coordinator that's the complete opposite of young and on the rise.
