Is Urban Meyer a possibility the longer this drags out?

The longer this takes to play out and the worse Meyer’s situation gets in Jacksonville, will SW make Meyer an offer he can’t refuse? You have to imagine he would love to cut his losses in the NFL and get back into the college game, not to mention USC and Florida are already spoken for.

I’m actually hoping this is the case.

They're 2-9, he should just jump ship now

Not to mention it would be an easy parting of ways for the Jaguars since Shad Khan was none too pleased with Meyer's recent PR distraction (though his supposed indiscretion is not enough to potentially exclude him from getting an offer from LSU).

Title IX and Urban’s lack of discretion don’t mix

He might be the one SW says we will be happy with

I’d gladly take three or four years of Urban if it meant another championship.

Exactly. What went down is between Urban and Mrs. Meyer. And if she doesn’t hold it against him, who are we?

This would make the most sense. My complete guess is that the decision was month weeks ago and these recent events are irrelevant, but….

Meh, he's not the same guy he once was. Nowadays, he's just seen at bars all over Jax Beach pounding bourbon with his boys Charlie Strong on game weekends. Pretty sure he's just riding off into the sunset with the Jags.

As soon as the Jags fire him or his chest starts acting up.

Yes. Especially if Scott is looking beyond his first choice.

Urban would win championships. Scott just would have to know he’s hiring a temporary solution and betting he can get the best long term solution a few years later.

No idea if this is even a remote possibility but if Urban came here and has a passion for glory, he could be the first to win natty's at three schools and surpass Nick. Would be the GOAT.
