I think those grumpy old Michigan curmudgeon fan's heads exploded at the spread option game

nope. our heads exploded upon RR's insistence on running the 3-3-5 defense with DCs who weren't familiar with that, and also not emphasizing the trenches

Would be funny if he ended up back at WVU

He would probably have WVU in the playoffs within 3 years.

He took Arizona to 5 bowls games in 6 years, including his last. He was let go for non-football reasons, which I believe ended up being false.

His replacement Sumlin won 9 games over 3 seasons. Rich Rod won more games in one season than his replacement won in his entire tenure in Arizona.

Last season was Arizona first bowl from coach other Rich Rod in over 20 years

I wonder what his career trajectory would have been if he never took the Michigan job.

And instead took the Tuscaloosa bama job. Would saban still be in the NFLor back at LSU? Seems RR's old lady didn't approve of the southern culture. Why he went to Michigan.

Rich Rod take Southern Miss

Southern Miss is a deadend coaching job. They were a decent program 14 years ago. They use to sign a lot of mid tier 3-star recruits from the Mobile area... but the emergence of South Alabama's program ruined that.

JSU has committed a good chunk of money to the football program since he got there. I think he is actually pretty happy there and is content on helping guide that program through these first few years of FBS ball. This is their first year as a full member of Division 1 FBS since they had to complete a two year probationary period. Got special exemption to play in a bowl game in NOLA last year and got their first ever bowl win. He is building a solid G5 program right now.

it would be funny because he became famous at WVU.
He’s never coached at LSU.

He did not bomb here. Off the field shite and a complete disaster of an Athletic department at the time.
