Is Meyer a total hypocrite if he takes the OSU job?

He retired, what, two years ago from coaching because of health issues/family issues after having already taken a leave of absence and now he's already returning to the fold?I dont know if hypocrisy is the right word, but how many times is this guy going to cry wolf? Is OSU not worried about him taking a leave of absence after one season

There have been a few coaches that have left for health reason and return. That said it is something that OSU should be concerned about.

good god no he's not a hypocrite. Why cant a man change his mind? At different times in your life you have totally different perspectives on life and your own. He did it the right way, stepped away and wants to work again, what's wrong with that?
I found it humorous that people get so bent out of shape at what Favre did. They guy retires and wants to work again? who cares? get over it

You're absolutely correct on the health concerns, though. Recruits are going to take note of it. They want to know that if they commit to a head coach, that he's going to be there for awhile.
Meyer staying at OSU for 4+ years is no lock. Just my opinion.

I agree with that. Circumstances change rapidly for different people. And, you can never know what someone is really going through.
Sure, we can say things like Miles and Saban made him quit. But, in reality, he could have had some personal issues that he wanted to handle. And, not all personal issues take the rest of your life to handle.

Yes, he can change his mind, but if I think its dubious at best that his health concerns, which were apparently so serious that he had to take a leave of absence once and 'retire' after that at the peak of his career, have somehow disappeared to the point that a mere two years later hes ready to coach again

I read that while he's been away from coaching he has helped coach his son's baseball team and has visited a bunch of his daughters volleyball games. I'm sure that's something that he felt like he needed to do, but you can only watch shitty baseball and hot volleyball chicks so long before you want to do your own shite again.

Tebow and harvin left, cam went juco and saban made him quit.
He got out just in time from the looks of it. Their is hardly any upper class players on that team

It shows that football is more important to him then his family, considering he only took one year off. What happened to "God and family first" for him, and his health condition? Does he really want to go to a team that has many problems and cause his stress to go way high?

Truth be told, he retired because he saw what was in store for his Gators down the road. He didn't wanna tarnish his great record with a bunch of losses so he got out while ahead. Any of that other stuff he said about why he is quitting is a bunch of BS and he knows it.
