You heard his name pushed around in the late 2000s, then nothing. And I haven't heard or read much this year either.

When they hired him I thought they made a huge mistake. I thought they needed somebody like Vennables at the time. I was wrong.

He has broken the image that the SEC is some unstoppable conference, so he has that going for him. Time will tell, though.

Sure seems that way. He's 62 years old and has shown little interest in tempting offers in past years. Michigan was pushing for him pretty hard a few years back and he turned them down. He also turned down Washington a few years ago, a program to which he has tremendous ties.
