It would be an easy transition for the players, Durkin loves rushing just 3 men even more than your guy did. It was freaking maddening to watch, sit a couple 5* dlinemen and run out some scrub dbs to get burned when the qb has forever to scan the field. He should have been fired after the Bama game for calling bullshite, every big play Bama had was with that D.

What about Phil Parker Iowa DC? He only makes a little over half a mil a year. He is the only DC up for the Broyles Award, and Iowa usually has a good D just not sure if that has more to do with the HC

Durkin is tied to a 3 man front which was absurd with the DL room we have. The quality of LB play improved greatly under him in 2023, but our performance on defense in 2022 was absolutely inexcusable with the talent we had and how good it was in 2021 in Elko’s last year. Our run defense was Mark Snyder level. I don’t think he’s a bad DC but LSU can do better

Durkin has been contacted by Lebby. I haven’t been impressed with Durkin, but I also haven’t been paying that much attention to him and might be missing something.

Durkin would be a fantastic X and O guy to pair with Lebby and he knows the offensive scheme he has to be the counter for.
