This, Interest has to be created in the program once again like Daddy Dale first did when he came in. Pearl could certainly create some fervor and talk.

I'd kill to have that guy as our coach. We need someone who will put people in seats. He's charasmatic, a great recruiter (albeit slightly shady, I'll concede) and a fantastic coach. Seriously, not just anyone can help take UW-Milwaukee to the sweet 16, elevate Tennessee to a #1 ranking in hoops, and show up shirtless to basketball game.

I didn't see anything in that mandate that said he could not coach, just the recruiting sanctions on him and probation for the school.
Right now, LSU is a program that seems like it is already on probation. I was just pointing out that hiring Pearl would excite fans for the future ... when we get through whatever probation the NCAA would levy.
