The wildcard with Aranda is I could see him being content at a lower profile program like Baylor. He may not want the spotlight a job like LSU brings. I think Napier would embrace all aspects.
Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't hurt for LSU to ask him first before Napier.

Why the hell would Aaron Torres have any clue about the status of the LSU hire

Some LSU fans are melting over the possibility of a Tucker hire. A little research like with Torres that can easily be verified, would tell you that’ possibility is a No!

Aaron Torres podcast. Noted that while the status of other coaches linked to a couple of elite job openings is declining due to their losses, Tucker, Napier and Aranda have been moving up.
This is nothing more than what this board does on a Saturday. If the coach wins then he is the guy for the job if he loses that day then he is a bum. LSU isn’t on the fence with Aranda waiting to see if he can beat Oklahoma St..

Wins vs Texas, Oklahoma St and Oklahoma will enhance Aranda’s resume dramatically, even Fla may come calling.

If Tucker staying at MSU or coming to LSU comes down 100% to money, MSU will 100% not be outbid when it comes to a college football coach. Not now.
Do some research. Michigan State has a couple billionaires among their big sports boosters. They could definitely match any LSU offer.
That is not good news to me because Tucker may be my number one choice, but MSU can definitely match LSU with head coach money.

Aranda or Nap - I good with that.
We aren't getting Jimbo, Riley or Daba.

One of their boosters is Mat Ishbia worth 8.1 billion dollars who was on the 2000 men's basketball team who has contributed a lot already.
LINK
Another booster is Dan Gilbert of Rocket Mortgage and owner of Cleveland Cavaliers worth 31 billion.
LINK
They have both made substantial contributions to MSU athletics. MSU can match or exceed any offer.

Napier should be our guy. His background and his demeanor is what we need.
If we don't get him, UF will and we will be regretting it for the next 10 years.
We aren't getting these big name "Tier 1" coaches and I don't want any of them. The main reason being that if Riley, Kiffin, or Fisher would leave their teams, that says that we only bought them. Their loyalty would be to the money.
I would rather Napier and I would support that hire 100%. Hire Kiffin or Fisher and they better show results because they are a hired gun.

I've gotten to the point where I want Napier or Aranda. Outside of Riley, there's no "white whales" that I give a shite about. And with whats happening at UF I hope we get one of these 2 before they do. Napier particularly would kill at Florida.

We aren't pulling Riley away from OU.
I don't want Kiffin or Fisher because of what it would say about their character for leaving programs that they just got to and programs that saved them.
Therefore the next tier is Aranda, Napier and Tucker which I would prefer in that order.

Both Aranda and Tucker are in year 2 at their current stops so how is that any different ?
Tucker bailed on Colorado after one season.

If you can't see how much of a douche move it would be if Jimbo Fisher left for LSU for more money, then we aren't the same type of person. He won an NC with Jameis and then ran the program into the ground. aTM gave him and "out" and if he would just pack up and head east to LSU, in my opinion, that shows no loyalty at all. I'm also biased against Fisher because of the way things went years ago, which makes me question him even more.
