Aaron Torres podcast. Noted that while the status of other coaches linked to a couple of elite job openings is declining due to their losses, Tucker, Napier and Aranda have been moving up.

Mel Tucker - Aaron Torres claims to have close connections in the state of Michigan. He noted that Mel Tucker has close ties to their AD, Tucker actually helped the current AD get hired at Michigan State. Also, that Michigan State can match any offer by LSU and he explains why. Implied Tucker will remain committed to Michigan State.

Billy Napier - Torres explained how ULL's Napier chose not to follow through on seeking a head coaching job at South Carolina, Miss State, and Aub because he's waiting for an opening at one of the elite schools, LSU, Alabama, Clemson and Fla. Also noted that Napier does very few radio interviews, yet he was willing to do one with Jordy Culotta despite this being in the middle of football season and despite the real possibility, this could totally distract his football team which is having a great season. Implying that, that should illustrate to everyone his level of interest in LSU.

Dave Aranda - Noted that Aranda is the best coach available among coaches that LSU knows they will get a yes from. Aranda is trending up, noting Dave Aranda coached well after getting through the Covid season of football. Aranda could still lose 4 games, but he also could keep winning. He repeated that Aranda is the best coach, who LSU will get a definite yes from.

If Tucker staying at MSU or coming to LSU comes down 100% to money, MSU will 100% not be outbid when it comes to a college football coach. Not now.

I find this hard to believe, and I never want Tucker coaching at LSU.

It will be someone he knows will be successful that has done it at a high level before.

Like Kim Mulkey for women's hoops.

Listen to his podcast, he'll explain why. This guy's resume appears very solid if you research him.

Hey Mr.Pod Cast. He's actually very smart, much smarter than you, he has written best sellers and is very insightful. Just because you don't agree, you trash him. Our country is full of idiots like you!

You really want to get into a bidding war for Mel Tucker with Michigan State? 7 million, 8 million, 9 million? Really, for one game wonder Mel?

let me shock some people here... for years, recent years- like going on 5 years now, the B1G had more revenue than the SEC and higher per school (like the SEC the B1G distributes evenly) distribution than the SEC.

They have less teams but pull in more total revenue. Yeah- they can match us if they have the will to do so.

Napier is obviously campaigning for the job, just with a light touch. We'll see if that touch becomes heavier in the next couple of weeks.

I can't see how this can be anything but "mostly accurate".

Yes, it's true that no one can know for certain what Aranda will decide, but Woodward may have already called and had this discussion. Still it seems highly likely that Aranda would say yes. Aranda is making $2.5 million a year (not much different than he was making as our DC) at a school that is about to take a big revenue hit in a conference that is going to fall into the 2nd tier. He was comfortable at LSU. He'll get more pay and end up in a school and conference with much more stability. Aranda is smart enough to see that.

The wildcard with aranda is i could see him being content at a lower profile program like Baylor. He may not want the spotlight a job like LSU brings. I think Napier would embrace all aspects.
