I wish that the people who seem determined to inject race into the head coaching search would stop; this is not productive. Guys like Franklin, Aranda, Fisher, etc. all have good resumes.Let's hire the best man and best coach that LSU can get regardless of his race.

You are blaming the guys who object to race being a predetermined selection for injecting race into the coaching search?

That is some arse backwards thinking

100% agree. Please pass this message along to Bill Tate. Based on his resume, I suspect he needs to hear it far more than most of the folks on here.

Lol. “ Some people” are “ injecting “ race. Is that what you call honest reporting now?

I did not blame anyone for anything. I said that it is not productive to keep injecting race into the discussion regarding the selection for a new football coach, regardless of what side (if any) that you support. Let the professionals do their job.

That's not how the world works anymore. The powerful in our society have decided race matters heavily. It's the only way they can keep people off their back.

That is not true of this particular hire. Winning matters more than anything. There isn’t an inkling of evidence to lead one to believe race will matter in this hire. Repeatedly bringing it up is whatever the opposite of virtue signaling is at this point, and it’s tiresome. fricking give it a rest.

And some people think that some races doesn't matter, especially when it comes to high profile jobs. i.e. sticking to the good ole boy network. Hell Mel Tucker resume is as impressive and someone like say Lane Kiffin, yet some people here thinks that Tucker is not qualified for the LSU Football job or it's only because he is black.

A&M fired their woke president. LSU's woke president will ensure their football program becomes Nebraska.

Would not be talking about it if not for the President bringing it up.

What other major college football program would be on record with their President preferring and asking for a minority hire? I can't imagine any,

Would Georgia, Ohio St, Alabama be doing this?

I’m not a fan of boosters getting involved in coaching searches, but this time they may need to intervene. Make sure Tate understands what will happen if he forces an unqualified minority hire

Tate is the type of shithead who would dox those boosters.

A CRT proponent tried that with A&M donors and quickly found she was out of work and tagged with a "do not hire" stain across much of Texas.

That ignores what people are complaining about...that the professionals are injecting race into the decision making process.

I have no idea if that is true. I suspect it is not. But, THAT should be your argument. It shouldn't be "let's not talk about it because the reality is destructive."
