No, if you're going to make excuses for one make them for the other. If not you're just a hypocrite.
That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. For starters Not every situation is the same. For example when Saban started at LSU, we had won just 7 games the 2 previous seasons and had 8 losing seasons in 11 years so the expectations for him in year 1 are different than say Les Miles who took over a team 2 years removed from a NC and had monster recruiting classes. It is not hypocritical to give Saban more slack in year 1 nor is because we like him or don’t like Miles it’s called context.
O was not hired to rebuild a losing program. Miles was fired because he had stagnated from championship contenders to 10-3 type season. This is not 2000 or a 6-6 Alabama team we should not lose to Troy. Injuries and attrition on the lines leading to embarrassment at Miss St I could accept given the turn around but it doesn’t excuse losing to. Sun Belt team. 9-3 with loses to SEC W teams was frustrating but that a loss to Troy will likely cost you a shot at an access Bowl and an 11 win season is inexcusable. If there is monster season next year then it can be forgiven if not.....

People act like Nick Saban losing to UAB is the same thing as Troy and that’s fricking crazy.

This team should be 7-2 at worse and probably 8-1.

O caught a huge break with the SEC being so bad this year. Will be interesting see how he does next couple of years after replacing aranda.

So because the SEC is horrible, and O’s team hasn’t lost every game, you are feeling happy about the hire now?
UT is not top tier right now. They sucker the last few years. It was always an actual rebuild for Herman and anyone expecting him to win 8-9 games is delusional.
FSU is having a bad year but anyone who knows the situation in Tallahassee understands this was a possibility. He lost key assistants the past couple of years and the effects are now showing. Jimbo has had one bad year in how many? O is having one non-horrid year as an actual head coach taking over a team that is primed with talent and one of the best defensive staffs in football in the worst year in the SECsince maybe 15 years. Big differences there.
LSU will never win a division title, much less an SEC championship under Orgeron. Deal with reality

That team lost to Wisconsin and Auburn 2 teams that finished in the top 15, both on the road by less than a TD and LSU had the ball with a chance to win both. While frustrating it is not comparable to getting our poop pushed in by MSU and losing at home to Troy.

Not only that, Alleva had sabotaged the program at that point. The environment wasn't conducive to winning. Les should have made adjustments to offense that off-season, but nonetheless, Alleva ruined 2016 with his debauchery in late 2015.
