Ignore that

If you made me choose between OM, Aggie, Bama - it’s you guys because my Dad was an OM fan.

Anybody who has watched OM knows that team benefited from a weak arse schedule. They have no chance to win a national championship

Saban is right. This is not fair for anyone. If the coach's "dream job" opens up mid season, he has no choice but to abandon his team, who it's also not fair to.

Blame the NCAA not Lane...its their fricked up calendar that is causing this issue...

As a rational LSU fan, that should be your hope as well. That when he leaves, he's leaving LSU better than how he found it.

We will fire him for cause before he can leave. Hope we get a national championship before we try to ruin his career.

Careers ruined: Les Miles (got him canned from a different team after investigation), Coach O (rumors of partying and GF's kids at practice),
Brian Kelly (An affair, taking vacations instead of recruiting, malpractice with Greg Brooks)

Our media is tough.

Every rational OM fan knew Lane would leave at some point. It's who he is.

Show me your evidence?

He was at USC several years before leaving for a better gig in the NFL.

The only time he’s ever left a situation in a questionable way was leaving to USC from Tennessee after 1 season. And USC at the time was a better gig. He failed there and went to bama and built his image back up. He then was successful at FAU…. You expect him to stay there forever?? He got a better gig.

He’s now stayed at Ole Miss for 6 years!

If he leaves it’s because he’s going somewhere better.

So in his entire career he has left a place on short notice… 1 time.

So, your friend has contact with Ole Miss players and also the Ole Miss people hiring the next coach? Impressive.

If Lane believed that he could win a championship at Ole Miss he wouldn’t be considering moving to another school.

Yep. And he had unified the fanbase. Even if it’s a ploy to “screw over rivals” he’s still alienated at least half the fanbase even if he stays.

Winning unites a fanbase. End of discussion. They may be annoyed. But in the end, winning is ALL that matters. The alternative is wanting to push out the only coach in 60 years that has achieved and maintained that level of success. That's FAR worse.

What would you rather as a fan? A coach who is having so much success at your school that he's constantly being courted by other potential employers?

Or multiple decades of little to no sustained great success?

Not true. Maybe some of the non NIL players but the players that actually matter know that college football is 100% about business now.

No one said they shouldn’t believe it. But don’t get angry at the rest of us for not participating in the fantasy.

"Mercenary players".....exactly. Safe to assume that a lot, if not a majority, of the Black Bears' portal transfers signed with the highest bidder. I believe it was last year when LK commented that the first words he was hearing from players looking to transfer in was "how much are you paying" .Players across the country are transferring 2-3 times in their careers now. Don't like it but this is what college football is now, for coaches & players . I'd like to absolve fans from any "blame" but the pressure has ramped up from fans as well.

PG would stay as DC because he has a different contract etc. he also said that none of LKs staff wants to leave with him.

That’s fine. I’d be happy with Lane keeping Blake Baker as defensive coordinator.

Golding, IMO, is definitely not leaving with LK

Now the new HC there will have a say, obviously

I've heard ole miss insiders say Golding is loyal to Ole miss. Idk maybe but he's from Hammond if he does stay and baker doesn't get the Tulane job. The thought of kiffen and Baker.. INNNNNNNNNN!!!
