If the Vols get Gundy all this mess will be worth it considering he is worlds better than Greg "saw nothing in the shower" Schiano

It would be one of the biggest if not the biggest coup in sports history I would think.

**I'm not talking about his coaching ability fwiw. I'm talking about the fan base not allowing Schiano to be hired and then getting shite on by just about every National media outlet shortly afterwards.

To be able to hire Gundy after all of that would be a nothing short of a miracle at this point.**

Gundy kind of has UT by the balls. He could ask for $9 million and I think UT would have to pay it.

More a function of the Big-12. Always felt like Gundy was made for the SEC. Especially considering the mullet.

fricked it up badly and still recovered with a better hire than LSU. Amazing really.

They were put in a position to greatly overpay for a good coach. Need to look at the whole picture here.

They had to offer this kind of money because of everything going on. You cannot tell me with a straight face that Gundy is the 3rd best coach in America because that's what they're about pay him salary-wise.

Coach O's accent brought him to Baton Rouge. Gundy's mullet will bring him to East Tennessee.

Crazy price

Don't think Oklahoma State would even want to match that

If someone offered me double my current salary, plus guaranteed millions even if I fail, I’d jump on their little plane too.

Absolutely no chance. T-Boone would never come up with that kind of cash considering he's been pretty vocally opposed to Gundy many times.

Who would be your top 10 coaches and how many of them would you see switching jobs to take Tennessee and possibly play Alabama twice in a season?

Saban, Urban Meyer, and Dabo are probably the top three and none of them are switching jobs.

0% chance of a match. Even gundy thinks it's crazy - from presser earlier this year:

“I’m very happy in the situation I’m in. But one guy said, ‘Well what if they call and give you a six-year deal at nine million dollars a year?’ I don’t know. I’d probably have to listen. You know? Something crazy.”
