He’s been above .500 in the SEC exactly twice. His “improved” passing offense is ranked 10th in the SEC, which is well below our inconsistent passing attack. His previous 3 offense have been an absolute joke. He has never recruited an SEC-quality QB, as his current guy is a transfer.
The worst thing about Stoops is that he’s a Big 10 coach building a Big 10-style program at UK. That’s fine if you border Ohio and have connections there, but his style and recruiting philosophy WILL NOT WORK HERE. AT ALL.
Hire Stoops and you are either getting a square peg to go in a round hole, or you have a guy who’s dumping his identity and starting over in a pressure-cooler job. Either way, no thanks. Being a “good coach” isn’t enough to overcome how poorly he would fit here.

There’s a chance Woodward was clowning the OP and others to embarrass them. But there’s also a chance that OP was right, which means he was wrong to post it here. Without a contract that locks him in, of course Riley could cancel at any time. Once inside information leaks, that can destroy a gentleman’s agreement.
Regardless, OP is a dick for either trolling, letting himself be trolled, or fricking up what could have been a solid hire.

They run with trending rumors and anonymous sources. When the OP posted what he believed was credible information, there’s that “butterfly effect”. Next thing we know OK St is playing “Calling Baton Rouge” as a farewell taunt to Riley who was still coaching to win what could have been his last game for OK.
Just like Herbie likely fricked up Miles to Michigan, the OP may forever be known as the douche that fricked up Riley to LSU.
If anyone here claims they have good information and chooses to post it, they are selfish dicks. It’s fine to frick over other programs. But why frick over our own?

I'm also not convinced he's a "good coach". The way people talk about Kentucky you'd think it's Wake Forest and not a flagship school with 30k students+deep pockets thanks to their elite basketball program. The only reason Kentucky is bad is because they've never hired a coach good enough to make anyone excited about football, and that includes Mark Stoops.
