We all know he will have his own staff. This is just to see how you’d do it.

I’m going to make a couple of assumptions with my staffing. I’m going to assume Blake Baker, Corey Raymond and Brad Davis stay on based on rumors.

I’ll also assume that Riley would bring along a couple of staffers. Dennis Simmons being one, but right now, I can’t see anybody jumping ship.

OC/TE - Tom Manning. He is one or the best TEs coaches in the country. He offenses are well balanced. They use the entire field to beat opponents. (I’d also give Mullen a call.)

WRs/PGC - Dennis Simmons - Great reputation as a recruiter and developer. He would do well at LSU.

RBs - Greg Knox - Currently the Interim HC of Florida. He is just a solid hire who provides tenure to the young staff and established recruiting.

Brad Davis : OL/RGC - His reputation speaks for itself. Next season, we will see the fruits of his labor.

DC/S - Jimmy Lake - This would be a home run hire. Dude can flat out coach defense. He and CR would keep DBU going for years to come.

CBs - Corey Raymond - Duh.

LBs - Blake Baker - best position group on the team right now and also the most improved.

Edge/OLBs - Bobby April III - He is a great recruiter and developer. Wisconsin linebacking play has been elite.

DL- Kelvin Bell - This a dream for me personally. He is a stud at Iowa.

If only. Haha

Coaches don’t generally leave their alma matter.

I can dig it.

I also wouldn’t mind taking Garrett from SMU as well.

I don’t see them firing Golding and Kelly for Lake.

Wouldn’t mind if he did, but I can also see him staying.

Do you think Andre Carter needs the boot?

If Andre Carter stayed and coached the interior DLine, I wouldn’t be mad at all.

Calvin Thibodeaux is a name that I wouldn’t mind seeing there either, but he is an OU alum, they usually don’t leave.

Riley calls his own plays. He’s not hiring a true offensive coordinator.

Just take Demarco Murray from Oklahoma as well. A young RB coach that had a successful career that these young guys look up to. Also big time connections in Texas.

I thought about that.. if I’m Lincoln Riley, I’d hire another voice to be in there with me. Take some of the stress off of myself.

And who is your New Orleans guy? Name me one staff since Saban that hasn't had a coach with strong NOLA ties on it?

Also Manning is in line to be the new Akron HC.

Think he’s already on our staff. And his group is very strong!

Bill Bedenbaugh is the gem of the OU staff right now. Screw Brad Davis
