And honestly you don’t need a “New Orleans” guy. Just get good recruiters. I don’t really think area specific guys are a thing anymore.
The landscape of NOLA football & recruiting in general has changed so much. Mickey is just a good recruiter.

Typical just running off at the mouth 
Burton is 69yrs old and wasn't even recruiting anymore before he left Alabama. He was in an off field admin role.
That's why every staff has had one, and other schools try to hire Coaches with NOLA ties to their staff,because you don't need one.

What he is saying is....there has been a shite ton of turnover in the Nola hs ranks with lots of guys without ties to the old guard now in charge. Don't have to have that guy like mj anymore and the reason mj has been successful is that he is just a damn good recruiter. Not cause he was a legend at shaw, 30 years ago lol

Doesn’t mean they need one
Orleans/jeff parish is like a collection of 6 schools now. All the good kids filter to these 5-6 schools. It’s not an intricate network of talent anymore, and all the coaching staffs have turned over except for maybe John Curtis.
You are out of touch.
