If somehow some way Ensminger is successful...

Will all the melters eat crow?... Say we beat Miami and Auburn in the first 2 big games of the season next year and the offense looks good.
What will all the melters say or do??!
My prediction:
A) Make excuses picking small statistics such as..." Yeah, we put up 30, but we were only 3 for 8 on 3rd downs"!
B) crawl into the weeds and wait for the offense to sputter in a game and pounce on it to say... "I told y'all he was terrible"!
I think it's both, but it will be more of "B" than "A".
I dont think the majority would say I/we were wrong and eat crow. Just doesn't happen much on an anonymous message board.

Earlier it was "you guys are melting for no reason! There is no way its Ensminger"
onto the next battle for you to lose.

These games don't matter. We have to beat elite defenses to win in Atlanta.

The problem is with most people that post on here is 10-2 and playing for championships is the only way they see the season a success. They will on one hand say next years schedule is insanely tough and then say 8-4 likely because of the coaching. As a 40 year old man I have to remind myself often when reading post that they are likely kids and don’t really know what they are talking about. The current state of LSU football is LSU football. Has been for years and with the exception of stars aligning for a brief moment will continue. Get used to it!

Well, I'm a grown man. I know multiple posters on this board who are also grown men. So there's that.
Also, you're simply wrong. LSU is a top 5-8 job in America and has been a consistent force in football for the better part of 15-20 years at this point.

What part of this do you not understand? No one has anything against Ensminger and I haven't seen anyone say they want him to fail. Most people feel bad for the guy because he obviously didn't really even want to do it. The problem is the head coach and the athletic director who forced it on him to begin with. Can you not see the downward spiral this program is in right now? It doesn't have a damn thing to do with Steve Ensminger. He's good at what he's been doing for the past 10 years and I'm not even saying that the offense will be completely terrible, but everyone knows it isn't going to be a modern offense that's been proven to beat the best teams. LSU continues to beat its head against the wall with mediocre hires of coaches that have been proven to fail in other stops. Ensminger hasn't been an OC in 20 years and didn't last very long when he was one back then. The writing is on the wall.

I agree....I never said I wanted Ensminger. You can look at my post history.
But I have no idea if he will be good. He wasn't my 1st/2nd pick, but I will give him a chance before I say he sucks or is a terrible hire. I don't know....and you don't know either.
But to completely go ape shite like some you are in ridiculous. We are not close to being back to the "Curley Hallman days"

Hey I love LSU and have since I was 3 but a top 5 program we are not. We do have talent in the state and will continue to put people in the league. But a program littered with a history of having a political agenda and having “too many hands in the cookie jar” does not make for a top 5 program. Face the facts people. Wishful thinking!
