By your own logic, you cannot possibly know this until you see it play out.

"What if it works out" isn't a reason to ignore a decision that looks very bad at the moment. That's illogical and it's the same flawed rationale that gave us Orgeron.
The AD and Head a coach deserve all of the criticism that is coming with this decision. The consensus is so strong against the decision that they are effectively saying "we know better".
The likelihood that they know more than the rest of the college football world is close to nil.
However, I'll be kind and answer your question. If they come out and beat Miami and Auburn as you suggested, credit should be given and, assuming the offense played well in those games, the concern about this hire should be buried.
Honestly, the worst thing that could happen is that LSU field a tremendous defense which carries them to a good but not great season in which the offense underperforms. That's a lost opportunity that should end up with Alleva, Orgeron, and Ensminger seoerated from the program and no longer welcome.

There is currently 1/2 team in college football that are staying at 11-1....Bama and OSU.
We are in the division with one of those. If your expectations are 11-1 EVERY year, you are in for disappointment no matter who we hire for a head coach or OC!!
Realistic is 11-1 every 3 years or so with a 10-2/9-3 sprinked in between.

Ensminger is LSU through and through. It's not like he won't do his absolute best to be successful.
BUT
Screw the process that makes him take a job he really doesn't want to begin with.
The ire is at Alleva and O

He didn't even fricking want the job.
frick Alleva and O for setting up Ensminger, an actual LSU guy, to be thrown under the bus. Alleva is a fricking incompetent dolt and O is a mush-mouthed conman who has made his living shitting all over LSU up until 2 years ago. How people couldn't see through his bullshite from the beginning continues to baffle me.

I honestly thought with Canada and Brennan/Narcisse that Lsu could go 3-0 those first 3 games. Canada would've had the quarterback he wanted in Brennan to run his offense they way he wanted run. Combine that with fact that Miami quarterback isn't elite and Auburn losing their top 2 running backs and their entire o-line. Our defense will be legit next year. But with the Ensminger hire I hope we can make it out 2-1 in those first 3 but we can easily be 1-2.

No. If you spend $1000 on lottery tickets and win a million, it is not a good decision. It is a very lucky result.

Nothing I hate more than you dumb CherriOs supporters. You need to wake up and pull your head of your asses. Special Ed is a disaster of a head coach, and his school AD and President are equal disasters. Throw in the fact that even though they had to hit a home run at OC, but instead hire the frickin TE coach from within, AGAIN, who hasn't been a OC in 20 damn years and didn't even want the job to begin with. If you don't agree that this program is a dumpster fire, then you're just retarded. Sorry. With a tough schedule next year, I fully expect next year to be pitiful.
