Wrong. A competent AD is always ready for this exact situation and won’t put all his eggs in one basket. Maybe for non-revenue generating sports he plays the slow game, but not for football and not for a program like OU.

I believe Riley has made a definitive decision one way or the other. He’s not mulling over anything at this point. I also think he’s communicated that decision to his current boss and Woodward. If he’s staying then it’s no worries in Norman. If he has said he was leaving then Castiglione probably locked in his new coach fairly quickly and quietly. OU is a massive job in college football and won’t have any problem finding someone fast

Because it's not a done deal. Riley might have somewhat of an agreement with LSU, but until he signs a contract OU is going to try to keep him.

Yesterday I gave up on Riley. The Okies are just way too smugly confident. I feel 100% convinced he's staying at his precious Norman Utopia OkieU.

It actually makes the most sense if it is Riley.
Because Oklahoma feels like they have more to gain, by keeping it quiet and playing for a Big 12 title and possible play off birth, than by blowing the lid off and starting their coaching search now.
