They would hire Paul Johnson right this second.
Agreed. Honestly, I think the only thing holding him back at Tech is a complete and total inability to recruit talent to that school. Nebraska would do well with him.

I think nebraska should go back to it's roots.
The offense might be old as frick but so what. it works. plus it's unique and fun to watch.
Nebraska is never, ever, EVER going to be able to recruit nationally for the type of offense they run now at a high level. It's nebraska. But they can recruit for Nebraska football. RB's will line up to play there. O lineman will line up to play smash mouth triple option football.

Pelini's record vs. Top 25 teams was something like 9-18. So, um, yeah.

Hell, why not Gary Patterson?

I wouldn't mind seeing Paul Johnson. I think Nebraska's fans would embrace a return to the triple option.

I mean you been fricking the same girl for 30 years lol sometimes you just need a break to realize how good you had it. It's time to go and frick the girl that brought you tot he prom nebraska
That's why I thik BB was such a home run hire at Arkansas. Arkansas's best teams always have been and always will be smash mouth run oriented teams.

I think Eichorst already has his guy. I just have a hunch it's McElwain at CSU.
I'm actually listening to Eichorst's press conference right now.

Some of yal are clueless. PJ has gone to the ACC Championship game, what 4 times in his 7 years there?
He's a damn good coach, and sometimes you need to acknowledge your bones when hiring a coach. Give Johnson Armstrong and Abdullah, and he'd shatter every Big Ten offensive mark.

9-10 wins a year is great, if there are some championships mixed in. Beating a bunch of cupcakes and getting blown out by any team with a pulse is unacceptable. If Nebraska was in the SEC, they'd be the equivalent of Kentucky.

Ehhh, I disagree. 9 wins per season in a weak B1G is nothing special. If you wanna be better than that, you have to take chances. I admire that they aren't willing to settle for 9 win seasons. Pelini was never gonna win them a title.

watching those mid 90s nebraska teams just steamroll people was more fun than watching teams go shotgun/wide on every play

Truth. All 3 of their championships were things of beauty. Against Miami, Warren Sapp and Ray Lewis were literally gasping for breath by the time the 4th quarter rolled around. Against Florida with Spurrier and Wuerrfel, they absolutely dominated. And against Tennessee, they completely shut down Peyton Manning.

I've always liked the Huskers a little bit. I would like to see them compete again, but I don't think they'll ever be elite again.

What about BB to Nebraska?
BB has recruting inroads to B1G country, would have a much easier schedule than Arky, and has access to about the same level of recruits. Would be much easier for him to have success in the B1G West than the SEC West. He'll bring smashmouth football back to Nebraska. They should throw the bank at Bielema and convince him it's easier to win a title at Nebraska than Arkansas considering the competition.

The Huskers had one of the GOAT teams in CFB lore and is a historically great program. I understand why they believe they can be elite again.
PJ is not the answer. But any GT fan wanting to get rid of PJ is a certified moron.
