He's got a good resume but he's not my kind of coach. Gary Patterson is absolutely tailor-made to be a legend at LSU.

if he wants to win/coach at the highest level he will leave BYU. Also he could easily double his salary right out the gate and if he wins possibly triple it.

Same here. He and Bo Pelini are proven coaches at big time programs who not only would come to LSU, but could be bought if they had any second thoughts. Not ready to cut Miles loose, but they are definetly coaches whom I would start my search with.

I'm also on the Patterson bandwagon. Hopefully no else scoops him up over the next year.
ETA: Also there's a poster on one of the paysites that claims to be personal friends with GP. Says GP would definately come to LSU if they courted him.

I fully expect TCU to crush BSU tonight, but even if not, don't let it discourage against Patterson. The guy is a perfect fit for LSU and has pretty much built an elite program at TCU. TCU. LSU would be on solid footing for years and years with Patterson.

I like Patterson, Pelini and Mendenhal too. What about Kyle Whitingham from Utah?
