If the rumor that LSU is going to offer Herman in the next 24-48 hours is true, I'm thinking that's how long the Jimbo camp has to act. Admin trying to create leverage. If Jimbo doesn't accept in that timeframe, we're rolling with Herman.

If LSU has no leverage then they really are piss poor negotiators and need to be fired.

I agree. I think they know he is running to the board to post and they are feeding him info as a smoke screen. Doesn't feel like it's Jimbo, sorry

exactly what i suggested was partially happening. disinformation being put out about some after the shitshow that happened last year to keep things semi quiet.

I can't confirm that, but from the dialogue I've had with 1 of my sources, this would seem to be correct.

I would love to keep Aranda but decent chance he leaves within a year or two anyway for a HC job. We don't need to miss out on Fisher if for some highly unlikely reason he wouldn't want Aranda on his staff. Fisher knows what it takes to win.
I am still ok with Aranda as HC as well If Jimbo/Herman are off the board.

I honestly think a handful of posters on the Coaching Changes board could have either Herman or Jimbo locked in by now.
I mean...they were really planning on giving this job to Orgeron. It's really unbelievable.

As recently as a month ago, many were saying that the Jimbo ship had sailed. After the rumor from the Texas forum that Herman had already agreed to become the LSU head coach, all of these articles and posts have Jimbo being the major target while perceiving that they have inside info. After the leaks last year created such a cluster f*ck, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if all if these insiders are throwing Jimbo out there and forgetting that Herman is sitting right there waiting to be scooped up hoping that he notices that we can keep our mouths shut about the agreement and see how Texas is looking sh*ttier by the day as far as talent and the behind the scenes bureaucracy goes and holds fast in realizing that LSU is the best fit for him. If Jimbo really was on the hook, and he very well might be, you'd think that these people leaking this stuff would be more cautious after last year. Unless they are being cautious and throwing everyone for a loop.
