Anyone who thinks Napier is equal to O is just willfully ignorant and not worth arguing with.

Napier may not be the choice.

But, that dude is wasaayyyyy superior to Miles or O.

To answer the OP: I know nothing of Sale ( as far as OC). But, I believe Napier is serious enough of a coach to hire talent commensurate with the job and not cling to “relationships “ alone. If he were to bring Sale, I’d expect that to be a good hire.

Would Sale want to be OC for Napier again knowing he is a play caller himself?

I mean it’s a glorified title for an offensive line coach.

Rob Sale will be the OC. We grew up in Monroe together and I know several who are close to him. They are all certain this would be the case. What would you guys think of that combo?

Here is the take on Sale....look at the history..
O line at ASU set records rushing.. At UL...three years QB hardly ever sacked and rushing is off the chart...last two backs are in the NFL and the ones there now will follow...He's good!!! (Turned down Bama for the Giants)

I remember people wanting him as the O-line coach not too long ago

I'm as curious as you are to hear reactions to the possibility of Sale working as OC with Napier. I don't know enough about him to render an opinion.

Napier calls the plays so it’ll be like Pete Carmichael/Sean Payton

Well Sale is an O-line guy & ULL has some kind of absurd YPC stat that’s only bested by Clemson under his watch + they’re pretty good about not allowing sacks.

That’s all I know.

Thanks for the info! I think he would do great things with this OL. Got to get that up to par.

All I know is that Napier WILL NOT take the job if SW
or anybody else (BOS, TATE) try to tell him who to hire.
The main reason he turned down a couple of sec jobs was
because of this very reason,to many cooks in the kitchen.
Napier knows what he wants and won`t compromise what he
believes it takes to be successful. So what I`m saying
if he gets the LSU job he will have complete control over
his program. We don`t know if the administration is willing
to do that.

But the fact that he has any association with Louisiana makes LSU fans hard.

That’s bullshite. It’s that we all know how shitty ULL usually is and how fricking insane it is that he has them this good.

He already hires Sale before, which is why his name is being discussed here.
