Not sure if it works this way, especially with Moses, but after a year of watching Aranda's defense, will that cause Dylan to think again? Or give him some pause?

Dylan just needs a reason to commit to LSU. The kid and family are fans.

We'll have to fight Alabama for him, but if you bring in a name like Jimbo and all the great press that would come from that hire, it will be hard for Moses to ignore what LSU would be putting together.

Again, he just needs a reason to commit to LSU. Miles gave him hundreds of reasons not to.

for recruiting purposes (and I'm only talking recruiting), Jimbo would be the easiest transition from realistic candidates.

Again, though, this is all speculation because he hasn't signed anything. Until that happens, I'm not getting excited.

That ship has sailed, baw.

Jimbo may be able to secure Cam Akers though. That'd be a bigger get IMO anyway.

If it's Jimbo, does he find a way to get a JUCO QB for next year (Stidham), or does he stick with Etling and Harris for next year?

no one on this board could tell you that. You'd have to contact Austin Thomas.

I can only assume that Jimbo would lean very heavily on his opinions for the first recruiting class.

Another thing I haven't seen talked about much...La hs coaches LOVE Jimbo. I think he spoke at a function in BR summer before last and was very well received.

If it's Jimbo, we'd likely land both Cam Akers and Marvin Wilson

s there any hire that you think would make Brennan reconsider his commit? Like CEO?
Brennan seems to be committed to the school. Not just a particular coach. Which is very rare nowadays.

If it's Jimbo, you can go ahead and bank on Akers commitment.

What is a bigger, more important question to me is if we lose Coach O to another Power 5 school..bama??...how many of our recruits would he take with him? Remember when he left UT, he was contacting all their recruits & asking them not to sign any papers till they heard from him.

He did.

He will also help in Alabama and Florida, where the offensive linemen are.

I'd be more concerned if he ended up at Auburn than Alabama.

He ain't going to A&M, not while the Chief is there.

what's the backstory on this? I've seen it broguht up many times. Most allude to the UT debacle as the reason.

Brennan has already sat down with his coach and watched film of Houston and FSU's offense. The kid is committed, he's also recruiting Akers to LSU.

Yeh Chief's loyalty to Fulmer. Wanted nothing to do with O while at LSU, even tho Frank kept telling Miles to hire the man. As soon as Chavis was gone, O was hired.

I assumed as much. Chavis was always and is still loyal to Fulmer.
