Can they be under contractual obligations to not go anywhere or say anything until after Early Signing Day?

...or, there is no coach yet.

It's the obvious answer. You just don't like it.

Yes, absolutely. All assistant coaches everywhere have this in their contacts.

Kelly doesn't seem to be sweating. Think he might have his guys already.

Recruiting would benefit from announcing soon

The reason CBK is not sweating ? because I’m doing all that for him like most of us here on CCB lol

Apparently not all do. Some coordinators have already made lateral moves.

100%. The mental gymnastics this board is doing to convince themselves Kelly is playing "4d chess" is ridiculous.

I'm not panicking or thinking all is lost by any means but people can't seem to accept the fact that there are no coordinators hired yet even though everything seems to point to that as the answer

I keep seeing this and I think 2 weeks ago when Kelly was hired that is true but as of now I don’t know how hiring a coordinator would change how things are going to play out Wednesday.

Why would anyone “not like it”? It means he’s actually taking his time and doing it right instead of just calling up one of his old arse “buddies” and saying “hey, you wanna job” like Ed O did.

If Kelly had his guy it would be announced.

the "what if" scenarios on this board regarding OC & DC have jumped the shark......fell into the shark pit, got eaten up, got shite out, floated onto a surf board, and jumped it again.

Then why would we be waiting? Time is ticking for recruiting. Every hour that passes without an announcement makes us less likely to retain the few commitments we currently have (and basically completely rules us out from getting any new ones).

If the guy was already hired, there would be zero reason not to announce it.

Nobody who's currently committed would be changing their mind if we HAD coordinators... But there are CERTAINLY guys who might back out if we DONT have coordinators.

And i don't blame them. Honestly, if you have ANY DOUBT WHATSOEVER, you've gotta be pretty dumb to sign that NLI if you don't even know who your coach is gonna be.

I know this will be downvoted because people want to convince themselves that we're playing some type of genius game by hiding the ball with respect to hires that have supposedly already been made, but it's the truth. If I'm a kid who's on the fence AT ALL, there's no way i'm signing that NLI until i know who my coordinator is gonna be.

Bottom line, Kelly is an azz and hard to work for, like Saban. Difference is Saban has won a boat load of championships and a Kelly has won zero. Kelly is a professional but it's going to take the right guys, the right hire. Just like Saban.

Didn't CEO push back announcing his coordinator years ago so that he could spend more time recruiting?
