Craig James is an SMU alumni.
SMU looks great in a bowl game on Christmas Eve. June Jones has the SMU program on the way up. This news breaks the day after Christmas.
The kid is a sophmore, maybe this is being used to get the kid a hardship transfer to SMU and not lose a year of eligibility.

So he ruins a coaching career and potentially a program in the process?

Just read the article. Injury occurred on Dec. 16th, I was under the impression it happened weeks ago.
If the coach made him stand in a closet because he had an injury, that is bizarre.

Fulmer would take this job if offered.

Sumlin is as over inflated a coaching talent as Turner Gill.

Sonny Dykes, Sumlin, or Skip Holtz.

First off, if you've never been to Lubbock, Texas, I've got two words for you: dust storms.
Secondly, at this point, it's debateable if being the HC at TT means having a better job than the HC at SMU, TCU, or Houston.
Thems just the facts.

They will contact Sumlin but if he says no, then Ruffin McNeil gets it in my opinion. McNeil is universally respected there in Lubbock.

Don't tell me you are that stupid?
How did the 18/19yo kid do anything? The 40+ year old coach was the one who created the situation.
Leach "ruined" his career by doing what he did and I'm sure it wasn't the first time.
and yes, Leach is bat shite crazy..
