Briles probably gets the first call. Who would want to take this job with a nimrod like geraly myers as AD?

Leach is bat shite crazy

He does give the impression of being a crack 'n Jack fan, but to each his own poison I say. Toss him in rehab for a couple weeks, clean him up, have him show up on Oprah or Dr. Phil, and he's good to go for another HC job.

Leach "ruined" his career by doing what he did and I'm sure it wasn't the first time.
Without knowing all the facts I'm going to agree with this. Just because someone was abused as a child doesn't give them the right to abuse anyone.

If I was Texas Tech AD I would go after June Jones or Tommy Tubbs. Jones runs a similar system and Tubberville would be a big name that would probably energize the fan base. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want Tubberville at LSU, ever.

What decent coach in their right mind would go to Tech after the way they handled this mess?

Think TT will have a tough time getting a decent replacement. They are in a tough recruiting position between Texas and OU, they are in Lubbock, and if they fire their most successful coach in history for this, what would someone who is worth a crap - why would they want to get into this torture chamber?

TT has dug themselves a deep hole. No one in their right mind would take that job.
Leach may be a Nut job. The AD is a bigger Nut Job. The AD really mishandled this. It will be a long time before the School recovers.
No one will want the Job.
The fans/Boosters are in an uproar. The team/ staff are disillusioned.

FootballCoachScoop sources tell us that contact has been made by the University with Kevin Sumlin (Houston Head Coach), Tommy Tuberville (Former Auburn Head Coach), Sonny Dykes (Arizona Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks coach) Art Briles (Baylor Head Coach) and Brent Venables (Oklahoma Defensive Coordinator).

And he would accept the job in an instant. Briles wouldn't be a bad hire, he has ties to the school and is well connected with the high school coaches in the state.
