Maybe aTm in a couple years

I'd rather have somebody with an OSU/Ohio connection. That's a big deal up here.

Meyer will be announced the day after the Michigan game, or so I've heard.

its ohio state, where 95% of all ohio kids grow up wanting to be buckeyes; meyer would have to actively try to fail in recruiting.

Florida isn't down to 62 players on scholarship for no reason. Meyer will hit on a few big timers, but will flop on a lot of guys as well.

I don't know the exact situation down there, but he had top 10 classes every year at UF I feel like, and top 5 most years

I would have taken a post season ban this year, cause if they lose to Vandy in the Gator Bowl they will never hear the end of it.

What good does signing a great class do if the players don't play for you? In 2007 Florida had the #1 class. They signed a 5* QB in that class that did win the Heisman and NC, too bad it was for Auburn
ETA: Their 2007 class was freaking sick, but you have to look at other classes and see how many guys flamed out/didn't play for them or just didn't pan out.

I'm not saying he couldn't recruit guys that were highly rated. I'm saying a lot of the guys he recruited were busts or transferred. Like I said, UF is 23 players under the 85 limit, there's a reason for that.

I know they won but Briles pissed me off last night. Go for it on 4th and one on like your own 30 yard line in a tie ballgame in the 3rd? Are you just trying to screw your team over? Not only that you do a shotgun QB draw. He's freakin lucky RG3 bailed him out.
He has done a nice job recruiting though. My buddy calls him "the dumbest smart coach there is."

he recruited a lot of bad character players who were studs athletically.
hopefully he'd learn from his past strategy, recruiting guys like that brings on more problems than they are worth.

The other options are Luke Fickell or Bo Pelini. I'll take the chance that he misses on some recruits rather than be stuck with one of those bums.

Why would that be the only two choices?

Who else is out there ?
Everybody likes to throw out names like Patterson from TCU or Petersen from BSU. Those guys don't have ties to the region much less the school, and they haven't shown any sign that they want to leave thier current jobs.
