I'll give you the fact he may want to go home, but did his name even come up for consideration when Arkansas had the vacancy this year? If Arkansas really wanted him and he wanted Arkansas, why didn't it happen this year?

We were in the market for a proven head coach. Gus will always be our fallback plan. We will call him when we need him, not the other way around. He will have plenty of opportunities to impress us at AU.

STFU. The way you talk about Arky on some totally different level than AU is the funniest shite I've seen all day.

I'm already impressed with Gus being at Auburn. In fact, I believe it was a mistake for him to ever have left Auburn. I don't think he'll ever leave. I hope I'm right.

No hard feelings. I wish the man well on his tumultuous journey to eventually become the head coach of the U of A. It will be a difficult task without question but I do believe Gus's powerful need to fulfill his ultimate goals have the chance to pay off IF (that is a big if) the timing is right. Gus has already proved to have a few of the qualities we like to see in prospective head coaches but we would still like to see more maturation take place during his time at Auburn. . He will need to take AU to unparraled heights in order to receive any sort of consideration for this job. As an Auburn fan you should be rooting for his eventual departure to the U of A. It will mean that his deeds at AU have made him one of the countries most sought out coaching prospects.

Did not read the entire thread, but is the basic argument is that Malzahn will be very successful and the Coach B at Arkie will fail...
Is this one fact we can all agree on?

no the premise is that Auburn is Gus's tryout and IF BB doesn't do well or he heads off to iowa to coach his alma mater we'd take Gus assuming he doesn't frick up to bad at auburn.

It's not that we are the absolute better job its just that there are some perks we have over auburn and Gus is home here. Plus who wants to coach at a little brother school when you can be the main show in your state.

i've missed the arky fans. Glad you guys are back and more delusional than ever. It wasn't the same around here with MSU fans playing the role of arkasnas fans.

Because Little Brother in the state of Alabama is still head and shoulders above being the main show in Arkansas. As said earlier, there is a reason that all of your talent leaves.

I have no idea, once our talent leaves here it usually flounders and no one ever hears from them again. Auburn is like our dumping ground for disaster recruits...and a place holder for our coaches while they wait on the flagship to need a new captain.

Has this happened before? Has an Arkansas coach ever left, been successful, and decide to come back to coach the pigs? Seems like they always go with the response of "frick That!".

I've never understood this argument... so, is being the head coach at Wyoming more prestigous than auburn?.... is Nevada a better job than Clemson or FSU?

Bottom line is we all have to play each other and we all recruit against one another... what do state boarders matter in this argument?

Scoring a touchdown in the BCS National Championship Game... that's something an arkansas player will probably never get to experience...
and don't forget dyer's run either. All while being coached by the pride of NWA.

That has to sting at least a few arkansas fans...
