re: If Gus has success at AU, Arky fans seem convinced they could hire him.

That's laughable. AU fans don't have a little brother complex. That's a bunch of bs bammers who would rather focus on negative things that happen to us, rather than the positive things they accomplish spew. Much the same way MooU would rather see bad things happen to Ole Miss, than the good (the little there is) that happens to them.
And being the "flagship" university of Arkansas is like winning the special Olympics. I think you know the rest.

No. We missed out with Tuberville because our picking mechanism was broken way long before he went to Auburn. With Gus, he's just all in...what can I say? He may even find a way to move the entire town of Springdale and Shiloh Christian to Alabama.

Meh. If it's all the same to you, we'll take him and leave them to you all. As a parting gift of course.

I all depends upon what Gus wants. At ASU, he came up with a system for recruiting involving a large fleet of Gus-mobiles, each day combing all areas of the state. I don't remember what he called it...but I want to say something like the "Gus Fleet" or somethin'. Can you imagine an entire fleet of short Gus buses combing the entire SEC, or even farther? You know Gus. Expect the unexpected!

Only at Ark would they be talking about the next coach, when the one they just hired hasn't coached a game yet. Talk about an inferiority complex, or is just low self esteem?? Hell I don't know, just thought they would be excited with the new hire???

If Auburn can do it than Arkansas is more than capable.

The truth is if auburn was good job Gus wouldn't be the head coach now. Just like chiz wouldn't have been last hire if the job was desirable.

I have no dog in this fight but the Au fans that think there is no way Gus would leave Au for ARK are delusional. That's the man's dream job and Ark is every bit as good, if not better of a job. Especially for the tenure of Saban at Bama.
Ark can take Gus from Au whenever they want. Hell the man took a pay cut to get out of Au last year to coach in his home state (that's after per Au fans he had turned down Vandy and a few other bigger programs the his home state ASU)
However, Ark's new coach is much better than Gus and I doubt they will need Gus anytime soon.

Damn you dumb. Yea he took a paycut to get away from the Chiz but it wasnt because he wanted to go back home. He missed out on other big time jobs.

This is just dumb frick homer talk. And there is nothing I or anyone can say to get you out of your own delusion.

no...just no.

better recruiting area
Since we recruit texas and the mid west... our area is literally bigger.

better history, better tradition,
i'll give you these but it's really not just an insurmountable difference in the programs.

Auburn has better facilities
not once our new buildings open...they'll be done pretty quickly if I remember correctly, like 5-6 months.
