I don't believe fickell is leaning usc.

It’s truly amazing that after the Ole Miss game in ‘19, a lot of folks wanted Aranda’s head on a pitchfork. Now 2 years later, and 1 decent year at Baylor, even though he’s already on his 2nd offensive coordinator. Haven’t seen him play Oklahoma or Texas. Yet y’all are wanting to give him what's supposed to be a “top 5” head coaching gig?

0 evidence of this.

I highly suspect that Aranda and Ensminger were the glue that kept the team together in 2019. They were the adults on the staff. Aranda leaves, and things start going to shite.
THIS!!!
Brady in just his first year with the team could not be realistically thought to fill this role.

Aranda was associate head coach. I think he definitely negotiated some power in that role or he would have left to coach with Jimbo. Woodward also got to see how the team ran in 2019 as his first year as AD. He got to see what Dave Aranda brings to the table firsthand. If he zeroes in on Aranda, it’s a really good sign. An added bonus is a familiarity with the program and a lot of guys on the team. Would be great for continuity.

Aranda's responsible for LSU's greatest season ever in college football
Check the stats. The defense was ok...but lets face it Joe Burrow and the offense won that title.

I guess we can say the same for:
Greg McMahon - Special Teams Coach
Steve Ensminger - OC
Joe Brady - Passing Game Coordinator
James Cregg - OL Coach
Corey Raymond - CB Coach
Bill Johnson - DL Coach
Mickey Joseph - WR Coach
Tommy Robinson - RB Coach
John Robinson - Senior Consultant
Bill Busch - Safeties Coach
Tommy Moffitt - S&C
If Aranda doesn't want the job lets just keep asking the guys listed above until we find somebody that wants it. After all, they are responsible for the greatest season in college football history.
