I would love to see LSU be the first to use

a dual HC method. The DC has total control over the defense while the OC has the same for offense. There would be some finer points to iron out in certain areas like recruiting but it would allow LSU to take the HC $ and add it to the OC and DC salaries ensuring we could always afford the best available in college OR pro. It would also free up another position for a coach that other teams would not have. I understand it is an unconventional idea that many would balk at but I think it would give LSU unique advantages.
