Great record, high character guy - not many people talking about him, but he would be my #1 if we do part ways with Miles.

Better choice than Jimbo for sure.

Dabo loses 1-2 games per year by large margins. How is he any different than Les?

LSU fans don't care about wins, they want a flashy offense

Why would Dabo come here? Can you really say that LSU right now is a better job than Clemson? Have you seen what they have been investing in their program the last few years? That's turning into a top notch place out there.

That was largely to FSU, who was just stacked in 2013 and 2014.

To me, Dabo combines the character guy we love in Les with a willingness to open up the offense.

I mean ideally I would want Urban Meyer (the best coach in college football, not Saban). But that's obviously unrealistic.

What about that 70 WVU hung on him? How would Tiger nation take that L? And for reference, Clemson always recruits well, so the althletes on the team would be a wash.

Dabo is trash. Can't stand the guy every time he gets in front of the microphone.

ETA: Lol at people thinking FSU & Clemson are stepping stones to an LSU job.

Dabo is like Bowden was when FSU was looking for a conference. The last place either wants/wanted to be is/was in the SEC, particularly the West Div. At Clemson he has mabe 2-3 real games a yr.

Dabo is a younger Les in a worse conference.

Exactly what I was thinking! He has the #1 ranked team in the nation... why come to LSU?

yeah, it's not the right mindset but LSU is one of the best gigs in the country because of LA talent, stadium, fan support, money and being in the SEC West...

LSU, Bama, Auburn make it the toughest conference in College football, most years...

Sprinkle in A$M, RKansas, and Ole and Miss State, there is no lay up at all...

MSU is pretty darn good, they used to be the dormat/Vandy type program..not no more

I don't think you understand. Not going to say it isn't a better job than Clemson (FSU more debatable but willing to agree) but with the exception of kiffin leaving Tennessee, those types of jobs are secure in what they are as true destination jobs.

Only group that would ever be pulling Dabo away is Bama due to his personal ties. Everything else would be personal betrayal to those schools and coaches at this level don't want to do that to start anew at a program obviously in need of help.

They'd probably want the defensive coordinator canned immediately. Wonder whatever happened to that guy anyway?

Need of help?? The only thing holding this team back is the coaching staff. LSU has arguably the best talent in the nation.

You won't get it, so don't worry. He'd stay at Clemson instead of going to LSU. He will be at Clemson until he retires or gets offered job at Bama, whichever comes first.

Don't like him. Not saying he isn't a good coach but he just rubs me the wrong way.

However if I had to choose between Les and Dabo I would take Dabo since he is still a relative unknown with upside. We already know Miles limitations.
