Yeah, I don't think the players would be all that forgiving. If it were ULM to LSU I'm sure they would understand but Ole Miss to LSU has to feel like a betrayal from the team's perspective. If that's how it plays out.

If he comes to LSU, get me your email address so I can reach for your mailing address... and I'll drop you something in the mail OR even better; if you're local in BR, I'll deliver.

The regular season is not over. He would have to resign or rework the contract.

He's gonna announce what we already know. Sign the contract, hire Coach O as recruiting coordinator / D line coach and have him hit the trail while he tries to win Ole Miss a Natty. Then walk into Baton Rouge whenever they get put out of the playoffs with a clean conscience.
Or they get beat tomorrow and he's in BR Saturday afternoon.

I think this could be a possibility. He could try to ease the criticism of ditching his team before the playoffs.
Im not as confident that he told OM that he is leaving. I think Lane knows what he is doing but the schools dont.

He won’t tell them before. That’s for sure.
LSU would be stupid to allow him to coach UM after Friday, regardless of what Ole Miss allows or doesn’t allow. Post game should be interesting.
