I love how the OU posters are saying "I would never spend X amount of money on Riley"

Yes, OU fans, it's your hard earned money being spent on Riley. You would NEVER spend that type of money on a coach- and that's why you're about to be in the situation you're in.

Welcome to the SEC and Riley is going to drop 63 on you just for fun.

If they don’t realize the market has been reset with the Mel tucker extension I don’t know what to tell them

Talking about it like is their money.

“I would spend 8 million, but not 12, that’s just too much”

Dumb. Pay him a billion. IDGAF

I get where they're coming from. He's not really worth it for them, especially if what people here say is true, that this is the best he can do there. Gonna pay the guy the most money in CFB to lose in the playoffs?

As a OU poster I have been consistent on this, first the respect I have for LSU..tremendous football and overall athletic program 2nd I think Riley has culture issues and is too soft. As far as money no I don't think Riley has warranted the highest coaching contract in all of sport..Beat those damn Aggies today!!

Been on a couple boards and this is basically their thought process. Same thought process LSU had a few years ago when we wound up with shrimp boat

They are about to find out “it just means more” in the SEC.

There are posted on OU formula that think someone would stay at OU because it’s OU and not leave for a significant increase in income. Like they are in some sort of paradise

Every LSU fan would suck a fat cock to make it to the playoffs every other year- that means we are winning the SECCG or at least only a 1 loss team.

I am not in grief at all..I have been a consistent critic for years and his philosophy of all offense no defense...I liked Stoops style in the early 2000's smack you in mouth defense..Kinda like what you guys did in all your nattys except the last...Defense still wins championships imo...Again, pound those frauds in college station

I too would not drop this amount of money on Riley.

Speaking personally here, I can't drop what I don't have.

To be honest, some LSU fans STILL do this with Saban. They make comments such as "He wouldn't be as successful at LSU as he is at Alabama. LSU isn't the same caliber program historically." It's ridiculous.

Exactly. IDGAF if he gets paid $20 million a year. It isn’t my money.

I know, but Riley also took over an 11 win team and has maintained it. Maybe they think someone else can do the same taking over for Riley.

They're spoiled in that sense, but I get the rationale. Not any different from us thinking that the next hire is going to win a NC because the previous 3 did.
