I’m just trying to think of reasons, no matter how far-fetched…
1. Move into the big leagues (SEC vs ACC)
2. Ready for a change, maybe sees things getting stale at Clemson, ready to “build” again, maybe he’s just bored
3. Maybe an 8-10 year guaranteed contract?
4. Wants to prove himself in a better league…ego
5. Wants to come “home” to the SEC?
6. Realizes or has been told he’s not getting the Bama job after Saban and is pissed and wants to take the job at a division rival OR in that same context somehow thinks the LSU job is the path to getting the Bama job?
7. Somehow insulted that everyone thinks Saban is a better coach and wants to change that narrative
Again, I’m just trying to think out loud and think of some possible reasons

The only reason I can see Dabo as on the table to leave there is if he thinks the ACC is a sinking ship in football.

He has the No. 1 QB commit in this year's class...If he can keep the Clemson defense strong, he will be playoff hunting for years to come.

I sure hope not. I mean it wouldn't be the worst option out there and while Clemson has been good the past 8 years, everyone seems to forget that they have had no competition in the ACC and even then they've consistently lost a game almost every year that they weren't supposed to. That won't work in the SEC West.
