I hope the lack of smoke around Doug Belk…

…means he’s getting a legitimate look from CBK since we’ve learned that no one with smoke actually comes here. Great coordinator, part of the Saban defensive tree, deep recruiting ties in Texas and specifically Houston. Would be my top choice right now.

Would be my favorite at this point. LSU could easily double his salary and he’s at a SEC school to build his resume.

Yea he’s making 1 million at Houston after the raise if LSU wants to get him they can easily open the check book and do so

I didn’t imply that he couldn’t accept another deal. Just unlikely.
LSU has known they need a DC for 8 weeks. They have a list & I think you can pretty comfortably say he is not on it.

I don't pretend to keep up with Asst Coaches and extensions BUT none of that would keep another program from going after them.
