Houston Nutt also would have had his 10-2 Ole Miss teams

Please tell me who would be better that is actually realistically possible. Him or Marcus Freeman are the only realistic hires that would be homeruns

Well consider who else we might end up with.

It's terrifying.

Saban, Hartline, and Golesh are much better candidates over Kiffin imo.

Well let's see:

Saban, not a realistic candidate

Hartline, would bolt back to OSU first chance he gets

Golesh, lol a better candidate than Kiffin? That's some real delusion

The last thing I’m worried about is the coach leaving. But regardless no one would ever sign a contract like that so it’s stupid

He’s the Will Wade of football for the low IQ people. They’ll take excitement and drama over championships any day of the week. Wrestling fans mostly.

Me neither... I think he is a fringe level coach at best. He has no skins on his wall after 20 years coaching.

He never stays long at any place.

Aside from Tennessee, where he left after one year to go coach USC, which was a significantly better program, name one other place he left voluntarily for a lateral move.

Since 2001 when he started coaching under Pete Carroll, he's made 4 voluntary moves: 1) He left the USC OC position to be the Raiders head coach (no brainer), 2) He left the Tenn. HC position for the same at USC (at the time USC was a significantly better job), 3) Left the Bama OC job to be HC at FAU (no brainer if you want to be a HC again), 4) Left FAU HC job for the same at Ole Miss (no brainer)

Many LSU fans here denigrate Miles for the coeds rumor and innuendo, but turn a blind eye to Kiffins rumored coeds escapades. Why is that?

That wasn’t innuendo. The only thing that kept him from being fired after the 2013 season was F King stepping in and squashing it and sweeping it under the rug.

So Saban lost a natty because he wasn't focused and has his mind on his kiffy boo. LSU fans are the bestest. Not a dumber group of people out there.

Kiffin was in the middle of hitting rock bottom. Shill for him all you want, but if the greatest of all time fired him in that position, he was really fricking up.

Players don’t stay at any place long anymore.
Who cares?

If he stays four years and wins a national championship and has two playoff appearances- is that better than someone who stays 10 with no championships?

I think he knows deep down his team isn’t championship caliber and is why he’s fine leaving. We got blown out by both UK and UT but ole miss struggled to put us away, despite them having their best crowd all year.

LSU gets elite rb/wr talent but struggles with consistent qb play. Lane gets everything out of his qbs. Pretty easy to connect those dots.

As cool as it would be to land kiffin it is a little pathetic that the fanbase is acting like kiffin is the only coach that can save the program…. This is LSU a top 5 fricking job in the country. A lot of young hungry up and comer coaches who are given the resources we have to offer here would thrive here as well. The mindset that kiffin is the only candidate that can turn us around is where I think fans have went too far with the kiffin hype
