Gives me a lot more confidence that we'll do whatever it takes financially to get the absolute best candidate we can.

Word on the street is that if Joe Alleva was running the show then we would hire whoever ends up looking like the best choice in 10 years. He’s excited to tell you all about all the choices he woulda made in his 2035 SI article

I could see us plucking the Aggie DC to keep the downward pressure on them

We know money won't be the reason for us not getting our man at DC.

Meh. It’s not about money it’s about the best fit.

he's only lost coaches since he's been here.

You know what we haven’t lost since he’s been here?

A football game.

The point was is we are far more confident in him handling the search than his predecessor.

The predecessor that hired Coach Orgeron, Will Wade, Dave Aranda, and Joe Brady?

you need to understand that a1m has a lot of money to waste and risk. Woodward had an open checkbook at a1m; he simply doesn't have it at LSU. He can still get the job done, but it's not an apples to apples thing.

That’s a flowery way to put it.

Coach O- whole process was fricked. We got lucky.

Will Wade- he says that’s his biggest regret, although thats dumb

Brady- he had nothing to do with that.

Aranda- if it weren’t for Alleva we would’ve had Aranda a year prior. That was Miles begging for that hire until he finally had the leverage to make it.

Coordinator positions hirings really fall more on ED but it is good to know Woodward will more than likely give him everything he needs to make a great hire.
