Peyton said no assistants will be allowed to look at other jobs until after the season (which i already stated)
but i think its obvious the ed has talked to lsu in some way.
Orgeron was also at the high school champ watching the games and talking to coaches.
you know he misses recruiting and wants to come to lsu. He has a better relationship with la coaches then miles and saban.
we cannot allow him to go to another school.
I personally think its a done deal for him to come here is one way or another. But have no evidence of course.
who thinks he comes here?

After some of the stuff I heard about last night from the dome, I feel a little bit better about Coach O being on our sidelines next year.

starting to get a better feeling about it

so he will be our D-Coodinator?
he is not leaving a DLine job in the NFL for the DLine job at LSU. Assistant Head Coach/DLine wont work either.
You guys really want him as our D-Cood?

I don't agree for 2 reasons...
1. He might not have a job with the Saints next year
2. There has been rumor of him taking a RC/DL job in college at both LSU and Tennessee.
I'd love to see him on the staff with a quality DC.

can somebody please tell me why that would be a good CAREER move?
dont give me this BS about how great our school is either....or how he loves recruiting. hell, i love a bunch of things that doesnt cause me to take a backwards step in my career
the man has had a HC job at a major BCS conference school......it didnt work out, so his next job was a position coach in the NFL.
a lateral move to the college level AT ANY SCHOOL is insane. now, position coach in NFL to D-Cood in college can make sense.....
why is this so hard to understand for you people that think we can have bill cower, pete carroll, dick lebeau, urban meyer, bill parcells, barry switzer, etc? i understand coach o is not the above coaches.....but Y would anyone do this?

his value as a pure DL coach isn't too great
his value as a recruiter/DL coach is very high
also intangible reasons for coach O: he likes teh college game better. like saban. like petrino.

quote:How is associate head coach, recruiting coordinator, dline coach a lateral move?? expecially if he wants to come back to college? I am sure we could match the salary. even though its like 900k. He could as a matter of fact be ABOVE the d coordiantor/

Judging from the response, or lack of, I guess we can conclude that little if anything of any substance was heard at the dome!!

Is it so hard for you to understand that he would rather be coaching college football than be in the NFL? He's already said before that he misses recruiting and working with college kids.

Because he may be fired (along with the rest of the defensive staff) at the end of the year?
So, does he go chasing another DL job in the NFL with only 1 year of NFL experience on his resume? Or, does he return to a job where he knows he can excel.

I know that was convenience and all, but he sure wasn't scouting that game for Tennessee or New Orleans. Just sayin'....
