We will be fine. Better when we run off 5 years of Ws on Ole Miss.

This is Kiffins game to lose, not ours.

I never cease to be amazed at the lust of many posters for young coaches. They really seem to like their young men.

Nick Saban would instantly break LSU’s playoff drought. I’ll take that 74 year old (or anyone of any age) any time.

Hell, I think some of you would hire a middle-schooler if it was legal just because he’s young and therefore has by definition less experience.

I've been saying nobody on here knows anything so it won't surprise me. He a great coach but hiring him is more about winning the press conference. KD would be a great hire. Not sure he leaves though.

Not in the least, at least for me

If he comes to LSU, fine.

If he does not come to LSU, fine

People get way too wrapped up in this shite. Have we learned nothing from Jimbo/Herman/Riley? If we really lose out on Lane it's just another Lucy yanking the football moment to add to the pile.

Not me

Don’t want him

He’s unstable and drama Queen

Also, if it takes 14plus mil a year to bring him here, he doesn’t really want to be here. He just wants the money

Most of us are experienced and battle hardened CCB residents at this point. We’ll be fine

Kiffin is my #1 option but I’d be happy with Dillingham too. Hopefully Dillingham would bring Leavitt QB with him and maybe a couple of their defenders like Abney CB (likely draft) and Fite DT.

I still think if LSU loses out on LK, LSU will still get a solid coach.

I don't think we get him either. My concern all along has been the multiple reports that LSU really has no back up plan. I appreciate that Verge went all in trying to get Kiffin, but if he comes back with someone like Drinkwitz or Sumrall, the fans aren't going to be happy. It will be a very underwhelming hire, and what we need right now is a coach who will get the fans excited and engaged again. Now, if we miss out on Kiffin, but still get Dillingham or Lanning, I'm all good. I'll even be ok with Brohm or Golesh, because I think they could do great things at LSU.

I won't really care, I'd prefer someone else to be honest. I'd be fine with him, but it seems risky to blow up in our face.

Well, fear not. We have Landry, Rousse and Ausberry. There are not three better qualified people on earth to find a great coach!

Seriously, I imagine the boosters are conducting due diligence.

We’ll be disappointed for a minute and then start the same conversation about who we want next.
