This would be dumb and the ultimate insecurity move. Do this and he leaves for sure, proving ole miss is not a serious program . Best chance at a national championship in 60 years and you run off the guy that got you there because he might leave anyway.

Ole Miss has no reason to do this and Lane has no reason not to focus on Ole Miss winning games. That’s why coaches have agents.
This isn’t even the first time LSU has fired a coach during a season let alone the rest of college football.

This is definitely the most likely scenario. They're not giving their most successful coach in 60+ years an ultimatum where do you people come from?
