Some of you people will believe anything.
Of COURSE NOT.

But if true…
He’d be making the right move to leave such a petty administration.

(Not true)

No. They made up rumors on this thing have gotten out of control.

And here's how it will go in the press conference...

"Coach Kiffin, it is true that Ole Miss gave you an ultimatim to sign their extension by Monday?"

-No, there is no truth at all to that.

"But if they DID give you an ultimatimum, would you sign the extension?

-I'm not going to get into wild speculation games about nonexistent circumstances.

Florida and LSU fans.... "Well, there you have it, he's coming to Baton Rouge/Gainesville. He gone."

The move makes a lot more sense than I initially thought. Ole Miss is in a horrific spot if Lane coaches in the playoffs and leaves that late in the season. You’d almost surely just promote Golding in late December.

The ideal scenario is we steal Lane, Ole Piss promotes Golding and Lane keeps Baker, Frank, Raymond

Have y'all even decided if you've fired Kelly yet?

I’m sure he’s got our final offer on the table and Sexton has been told “this is it, don’t contact us again without an answer”.

This would be dumb and the ultimate insecurity move. Do this and he leaves for sure, proving ole miss is not a serious program . Best chance at a national championship in 60 years and you run off the guy that got you there because he might leave anyway.

Seems to reason Ole Miss would want an answer soon as possible if Lane plans to leave.

or Ole Miss is cutting the cord and moving on without him. I have also heard that it's the Sunday after the Mississippi State game. Both stories are the same essentially if Kiffin isn't going to commit to stay in oxford, he isn't going to be coaching in the playoffs. As an alum I hopes he stays but I completely get this move, if true by the administration. What say ye?

So you think Ole Miss is going to give up what could possibly be their only chance at a legitimate national championship because their only coach to ever get them there might take another job at the end of the year?

Or else what, they are going to fire him?

Exactly. This is Ole Miss. they have no leverage. ?? they woukd owe him money if they fired him instead of just getting paid for him to leave. It’s just stupid all around.

Hell no. Giving him an ultimatum is basically pushing him out of the door and would give him every excuse in the world to take another job right now.

It's hilarious how many people post here that believe their friends know anything at all about what's going on behind the scenes of multimillion dollar deals.

I say people are dumb.

Ole Miss has no reason to do this and Lane has no reason not to focus on Ole Miss winning games. That’s why coaches have agents.

This isn’t even the first time LSU has fired a coach during a season let alone the rest of college football.

This is definitely the most likely scenario. They're not giving their most successful coach in 60+ years an ultimatum where do you people come from?

Think and use your brain cells.

Anyone find it interesting that Governor Desantis made the trip to Oxford?

At minimum implies the full court press is ON for Kiffin to FLA

Lane has to agree to the extension if Ole Miss beats Florida and wraps up a playoff spot by Sunday/ Monday am or Ole Miss is cutting the cord and moving on without him.
