Listened to Herman today on Rome radio show. Herman does have an affinity for the area. I am not saying he is USC bound or Texas bound but he and his wife met in college in Californina. His son, Maverick, got name from Top Gun movie and because of the meaning of the word.

Most LSU fans seem to think UT is the leader for Herman. Most Longhorn fans think LSU is probably going to get him, but think they have a shot. Both occasionally mention USC, but in reality USC might be his first choice or dream job.
