Maybe he has. He certainly has helped get our offense out of a major funk. Yeah, he laid an egg against Alabama. Not everyone is perfect.

Truth.

I am not saying he is my first choice but he has done nothing for me to say he shouldn't get serious consideration. I think he is a good fit. I think Jimbo would be. I am not sure about Herman. I also believe CLM has proven anyone can win here...yeh yeh yeh don't mention Curly b/c this job is comopletely different than it was in the late 80's early 90's

I can agree with this. This is generally how I feel too, although I probably lean slightly more toward him not being a good fit for head coach.

I just like seeing LSU playing hard and with emotion. Bouncing back against Arkansas was not what I expected. Not only did they bounce back but they look determined to beat their arse. I really enjoyed that and the ole miss game

We didn't do much to alleviate front 7 pressure. We lined up with big sets, and tried to beat them head to head. And got dick slapped.

Remember that time we ran straight into the teeth of the Bama defense over and over again and then we were upset when we lost the game?

Ah good times.

The more you idiots pull against him, the better the idea sounds for hiring him.

I know one thing about this LSU fanbase. As soon as the next coach says the wrong thing, loses one in state recruit, and loses his first game. HALF OF THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE AND THE CALL IN SHOWS WILL WANT HIM FIRED.

They are being emotional just like with Les

This is a loaded team against a very down sec schedule that just got even easier

LSU needs to do better

We are more talented than most of those teams, bad most teams don't need 11 points to win

We scored 0 points and had less than 150 yards of offense

Thats especially fricking terrible.

I agree, but I think that funk was way more coaching induced than player induced.

The offense has never been loose or open under Les, but the way we started this year was absolutely the worst we have been.

Les set the bar so unbelievably low that anythign looks like a major improvement.

Realistically we are doing what we did last year before Bama. Running all over teams we can run all over.

Les did set the bar low, but putting over 600 yards is exceptional no matter who the players or the coaches are.

But, yeah I agree that E shouldn't be the first choice.

That's where I'm at. Hell, I didn't even want LSU to hire him as D-line coach. Now with the idiots not wanting him has convinced me he has to be the best person for the HC job.

Look until we overhaul our offense we won't be successful against bama. Our best team ever won 9-6 in OT...since then, with exception of one game, scoring has been tough.

But we aren't doing the same as "after" Bama the last couple/few years. This team kicked arse Saturday in Arkansas.

Welp, sounds like a logical reason for locking someone up in a long term contract for millions of dollars that will have profound implications for the program for years to come. You must be used to making significant decisions in your professional life.

LSU doesn't have much of a shot with most of the people on that list (and a few I wouldn't want). The problem with getting a coach this year is there are not a mountain of great possible choices. There is Herman and LSU's weird relationship with Fisher. After that you are really in the weeds where O is maybe your least bad option.

Its a weakass sec this year. The teams we have beat are a combined 19-21 not one of them is even ranked. We are a top 5 program beating teams that arent ranked. This is what we are suppose to do
