Every single one of those guys has a resume infinitely better than O's

it's truly mind blowing that any LSU fan would actually want to keep O on full time.
mind blowing? seriously?

Do you feel the jobs of an interim coach and a full time coach are sufficiently the same?
nope...but I feel Ed O is proving he can do the job while no other candidate can say they took over THIS team and won convincingly without even having the opportunity to truly change the offense

2) Do you think LSU can't do any better?
who is to say Herman would be a good fit...our leading candidate lost 2 games to inferior teams in the last month

3) Do you think a guy who is the Ole Miss version of Curley can change to such a degree that he suddenly is an NC caliber coach now?
I believe comparing Ole Miss and LSu is absolutely idiotic

4) Do you just like the fact he's from Louisiana?
It can only be a positive for recrutiing

Being a full time coach requires managing and maintaining a program 12 months out the year. O has already proven he doesn't know how to do that.
And you're assuming that he hasn't learned from his mistakes in the 10+ years since his last coaching job.
If you're going to point out fallacies in the arguments of others you could at least be honest in your own.

but based on the body of results right now, then he should have that opportunity to run the program full time.
No, based on his body of results he should NOT get that chance

Yes. This idea is that bad.

Not his team. Once Les' guys are gone it will be Archer 2.0
i dont want O as HC either but to think talent would be an issue is simply dumb.

Miles, unlike O, had actually built a successful program at Okie State. O crashed and burned to the tune of one of the worst records in SEC history!!

Talent no, development yes.

I say hire him, and give him a short term contract, but if he is a bust next year, then move on
So basically do what we did last year? Except if you hire a Head coach on a 2 year contract how are you expecting him to convince kids to come play for him when he doesn't even have a contract to be there for the entire 4 years they will be in school

Your position is obvious... I know you're capable of similar questions that lack bias.
I would rather see LSU succeed with Coach O than fail with Jimbo or Herman.

Admitting you made a mistake doesn't automatically mean you know how to fix them. At least not to the degree that would seriously see LSU competing at a high level on a consistent basis.
I'm sure he's learned enough to go from 3-8 to 7-5 or 8-4.

LSU has almost no chance of succeeding under O long term. We will be 7-5 to 8-4 at best.

Of which I want none on that list. Petri no is probably the best coach, but not the morals of the guy I want leading our men.

what about the fact the team has played much better since CLM has been fired? You don't think he has anything to do with it? They are playing much smarter, more disciplined, executing better...is none of that development?

Uh he won like 28% of his games. It's one of the worst records in SEC history.

Sure as long as you have an Aranda you'll see players on that side develop. He won't be around long at coordinators of that caliber are pretty rare. The offense is doing better just because what Miles was doing was SO bad. We've gone from a 30 year old offense to a 15 year old offense. Sure it looks better but all we've really done is tear up teams that can't stop the run.

Not to bring politics in this but that's exactly what liberals are saying about Trump.
1. Can't understand how people think like this.
2. He has no experience.
3. There are better candidates,
4. How can someone with little knowledge be better than someone with tons of experience.
5. He can't succeed because others are better than him.
And lastly your fear of being terrified, just saying.
