Has Pete Golding had a good defense as a DC?

Not roasting him, I honestly don't know.

People seem high on him, and I'd like to know why

Alabama’s defense has been pretty solid this year.

Yes.

This year is a good example. Alabamas defense saved them from at least 2 losses this season.

Why would he leave Bama? Especially as a lateral move?

More autonomy and a chance to come back home.

May or may not be enough to pull him, but there’s appeal there.

would you consider this year's Georgia defense as good?

Yeah he gets shite on a good bit because the Alabama defense isn’t what it was in 2011 but he has been pretty good there.

Not that they were in danger of losing, but he destroyed Ole Miss too.

Coaches get exhausted with Nick all the time.

I only ask this because not the only one i’ve seen say this. Also, I don’t mean this in a snarky way, but why would he have more autonomy at LSU? Where is that coming from?

Because he wouldn’t be coaching under Nick Saban.

We don’t have a defensive head coach like Saban is

Alabama fans shite on him because they're spoiled and feel like they should still be allowing the 8 points a game with smothering defense like the early 2010s defenses. They won't acknowledge that offenses have improved across the board and Alabama still has a top defense in the game.

So other fans on this board have parroted what they say. "Oh Bama fans want him gone. We'd be doing them a favor. He sucks"

Is this a serious question?

Yeah, but do we know that Saban is hamstringing his autonomy as a coach?
