Sort of.....

quote:

Maize N' Brew's Joshua Henschke posted an interesting interview on Thursday with Shemy Schembechler, the son of legendary Michigan head coach Bo Schembechler. Schembechler passed away in 2007, but his legend lives on as always with Wolverines fans. With the coaching search nearing its tenth day and former Michigan quarterback Jim Harbaugh remaining the top target, many have wondered what Bo would be saying if he were still around.

"I think my dad would say 'Jim, it's time to come home,' " Schembechler told Henschke. "That's exactly what he would say. My dad would think in broader terms but would see Jim as a conduit to bring back success that we were used to years ago.

Bo would say: "Jim, come to Michigan and do something that I could never accomplish in 20 years as a head coach - win a national title."

I think Bo would say, "Jim, you should come to Michigan and be the head coach and Athletic Director."

Since he was a football coach, I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a shite about spelling.

People up there worship Bo, yet he was only slightly better than McClendon. Dude won a bunch of Big Ten championships and no NCs and got routinely owned by Woody and outside of the Big Ten by Notre Damn and others. At least Carr won half the dang 97 MNC.

Probably because Wisconsin won a total of 9 games in the four years previous before he got there and then took them to three Big Ten Championships and three Rose Bowl wins. Wisconsin had not won a Big Ten Championship since 1962 before that. That is pretty good if you ask me. Not every team is setup to win the National Title.
