Im sure they will offer him. Especially if their was interest on both sides. Now, whether or not he accepts, that another story! Something tells me Alabama will not let him just go to LSU that easy!

Houdini manages the DC hire the exact same way he manages game clock.

The question is , "Will the offer be accepted?" I sure hope so and IMO wll be a good hire just to snag someone's DC like what was done to us. My real worry though is that Bama won't let him comeeasy, that's for sure.

If he is the guy, then he is not leaving for money so it won't matter. He is leaving because his career is stuck in place until he can go somewhere and do it without saban.

I'm skeptical. Even if we weren't planning to hire Smart it would be prudent to court him anyway just to goad Bama into raising his salary.

...It's not just smart, it's S-Mart.
